Just wondering here, but why every time I pick up an off road magazine from say "main streem" mag racks, there are never any 2005+ Tacomas? I've seen the bad ass SAS of the guy thats got the build thread on here, but other than that, nothing. What gives?

Because if they start to put the 2gens in all the mags the first gen people will get mad because they know deep down inside that the 2gens are taking over ;)

So what, regular truck guys had to get over 1st gen Tacomas taking over. Life keeps on moving, moving into the future.............as old skuul rock lyrics once stated - Steve Miller Band, IIRC

Im OCD about my truck enough, there is no way my wife would let me suscribe to a Toyota mag. lol. I was just wondering though. I just need to sell my left *** for a long travel kit then. Anyone buying?

Yes it is true. I just wish the Taco had stayed smaller. I really like the new ones, but love my 1st. Gen.

It does not hurt my feeling except for when parts start to become scarce for the 1st gens. Then it hurts. Other than that, the 2nd gens have been opened up to a whole new buying market. I do think that Toyota should keep the smaller Tacoma, a bigger truck like the T-100, and then the Tundra.

Yeah I know what you mean I picked up a "Peterson's 4 wheel and offroad" mag once and it was a all Toyota issue and even then I didn't see a 2nd gen but they did have a bad ass 1st gen on the cover.

I have noticed the same but when you think about it, how many new Frontiers do you see or any other newer vehicle for that matter? My thought is that most people don't mod the hell out of newer trucks like the ones you see in the mags. There are only so many mjp's to go around, you know.

Why doesn't any one do a 2nd gen project truck on any of of the automotive tv shows like "Gearz", "Trucks", "Xtreme 4x4", I emailed "xtreme 4x4" twice about this, but I didnt get a reply. But I was thinking if we all send them a email at least once a week and in the subject box type "2nd Gen Tacoma" they would get a idea and maybe do one. Worth a shot don't you think?
