I got new rims a week ago and now I notice that my passenger side rear tire is sticking out quite a bit further than my driver side. I took it back to the tire shop and tbey thought maybe I got one rim with a different offset so they switched the rear tires and it was still sticking out on the same side. I guess I never noticed before with my old rims because theh didnt stick out like they do now. Just curious what could cause this.. I want to get it fixed asap. Couldn't link the pic off my cell, there's the link though

Edit: this is my rear tires

Is your bed aligned straight? I had mine about 3/4" off to the passenger side brand new out of the factory. The only thing that holds it on is the 6 big Torx bolts and if you loosen them up there is a lot of play. Check the gap around your cab, you'll be able to see if it's off.

I noticed it once I changed wheels. My left rear is perfectly flush with the fender edge. My right rear stick out 3/4 of an inch. In looking at my bed, it does appear to be a little out on the cab but perfectly aligned with the rear bumper. If I tweak the bed, how much adjustment is there in the rear bumper and hitch assembly.

By the way I'm running 265 70 17's on 17x8.5's with +10 offset. These are the perfect fit for these trucks.

Yeah it was, in mid december. They replaced the passenger side body minus the doors, front axle, brand new front diff. They assured me nothing was wrong with the rear and it was gone over thoroughly and multiple times because I took my truck back to them twice due to something being off. I know that this isn't something thatst just gonna happen out of the blue. Really hoping it's the box being off, gonna check when I get back to our shop soon here. If the box isn't off I guess just take it back to the body shop who fixed it?

Makes me feel a little better knowing im not alone, and hoping its the same issue! Anxious to get back and check now!

Edit: I know its nothing to do with a lean of any sort, a month ago when my lift got installed I made sure to get the spacer put in for the taco lean when they assembled my coilovers

Just checked her out, by eye the box looks straight with the cab then I went to see the gap between the bumper and box, and sure enough the gap is bigger on the drivers side so with the way it has to be shifted it will correct it. Anyone know what sise of torx those are? Also do I just have to loosen them to shift the box a bit or take them right out?

Good deal. As for adjusting it, I would just back the bolts out .. way out.. but leave them partially threaded. That way you're not adjusting them away from the holes. That should help you from moving it too much and still allow you to find that sweet spot if it exists. If you can't find a spot where it all lines up, I would suggest at least having the shop that did the body work look it over. Good luck with it.

I loosened them all so they were up about quarter inch from the washers. It did move a little bit but not enough to correct it. I didn't have much time to mess with it yesterday so im gonna try again today after work. I got my cab mount chop done at a 4x4 shop yesterday and had him take a look at it, he said it was definetly my box and not my axle or diff that was off. He suggested taking the bolts right out and then adjusting the box but i figured if its not gonna move anymore with them in then the bolts wont line up again when i get it into the desired spot

Whatever came of this issue? I have a 2016, just put wheels on and have this exact issue. My bed is lined up fine.

Is it possible that with new wheels that one wheel could have different backspacing?
