And a way to not play with fire, as I said, is to not ignore them. Ignore them and sure they can be an issue like lots of things.

I know, right? It's almost like some trucks can be fun to drive, which shows that it's not unrealistic to expect that from trucks or from Tacomas. Almost like exactly what I said in that first post, eh?

    This has been fun.

To put it into perspective in highschool I had a 95 tacoma 3.4 auto 4x4 lifted a little with 31s

I was racing a similar vintage full size chevy with a v8 and a loud exhaust

I started a truck length behind them and was gaining the whole time till I reached 90 and finally passed them

It's very unrealistic to expect V8 power out of a Tacoma without adding some forced induction.

I think you might remember the SOHC 4.0 in the ranger with rose colored glasses. It was a fuel hungry dog too, and on paper made 40less HP than the 5VZ. I had a 97 Explorer with it, it was slow.

Who said anything about expecting V8 power out of a Tacoma?

I don't know of many trucks that are built for speed unless you are driving a Raptor.

Not avoiding, just not feeding your idiocy. You literally said:

"I know, right? It's almost like some trucks can be fun to drive, which shows that it's not unrealistic to expect that from trucks or from Tacomas"

That was a direct reply to my V8 statement. What did you mean then if you didn't imply that we can have the same amount of fun that a V8 gives you and it isn't unrealistic to expect that from Tacomas?

I meant that some trucks can be fun to drive. It's the first part of the second sentence, right before the comma.

Some trucks perhaps, but not the Tacoma. If you think a 190hp (170whp) 4000 pound vehicle on 31's will be fun to drive, then you don't understand how power to weight ratio works.

Helps that neither of those are engines that came in tacomas too. Of the two I'd rather have the Honda powered one haha

Pretty sure he was talking about the 5VZ-FE and not the MX-5
