    I have a 1st gen and wouldn't trade it for anything (original owner so maybe too sentimental, but oh we'll.) Very Fun to drive off road. I have not driven a 2nd gen, so I can't compare the two. But, when I do get my new daily driver and retire the 1st gen to weekend duty, I believe a 4runner trail would be my pick over the 2nd gen Tacomas....
