I guess I've only got taxes, retirement, Soc Sec (lol), etc taken out of mine. You've got more deductions than me it appears.

jeebuz, I thought I had it bad..., what pay step are you? We're one of the lowest paid agencies in the state for the size of our county and I still make about $2310/mo before taxes as a step 2 dispatcher.

    oh...and OP...don't call us, we'll call you

Your child support must be a ridiculous take from your check.

Ya....it is, but at least he's getting taken care of. I hope to see him again someday. I miss him dearly.

I was told if I lateral transferred to Mesa PD, I'd be at $75k a year. I like where I'm at though....so far less politics and what not.

Here we go, I don't even need to read on because this sums it up pretty well. While I don't just blindly put my trust and faith in the government or the police or agree with some of their actions most of em are just normal men and women, some of them neighbors, that go out every day and do a very dangerous job to try to better the community and keep violent and problematic people off the streets and be a deterrent to crimes. The police do an important job to provide a balance to society. And it is clear that I am in the small minority as far as how extreme my opinions are here.

its really simple...your nice to them usually they are nice to you. your a total d-bag to them their gunna treat you the same way back. its human nature to act that way. a badge just allows some people to stop d-bags before they seriously hurt something/one
