this is my 1st leather seat taco.. would never go back to material seats,, they hold too much dust/dirt.. give them a good hand smack, and the shit flys..... just wipe the leather couple time a week,

    I agree OP
Leather peeling off your legs in the summer heat is the WORST

(and as a vegetarian im happier with cloth) I got bartact seat covers to protect them from my late-night Taco Bell runs

I must say that the fake leather is better than it was in the 70s, but in Fla, you will be miserable hopping on to a seat that has been baking in the sun!

Yes, I vaguely recall the garbage vinyl they used to put on car seats back in the old days. I'll admit that getting hot in the sun is a downfall, but with air conditioning and strategic parking it's not usually an issue for me. I was concerned when I bought my current 4Runner since all they offer is black leather (vynil) with the premium package. But, it hasn't been as bad as I expected

How many people switch out their leather for cloth?

To get seat heaters going leather was the only option when I purchased since we wanted a DC. I would have preferred cloth, wife wanted leather.

Much prefer leather and cloth always feels warmer to me in the summer - like it holds the heat, sweat, dirt, stink, and virus.

Gotta be cloth for me. Leather just feels gross to me and it traps sweat against your back. It either freezes you in the winter or lights your legs on fire in the summer. I also HATE the way a leather interior smells. It just has a vague disgusting odor that I can't quite describe.

Give me cloth seats, hard plastic, and rubber floor mats.

My 2008 Ram was decked in vinyl. It didnt even pretend to be leather. Cheap pvc seats. No mats, no carpet. Just vinyl. I swapped the shift knob for a fucking rock. That sumbitch scorched in the summer. Branded my right hand and my ass. But damn, it took 5 mins to clean after parking it on the beach all day.

I tend to keep vehicles a long time, my Tacoma is 13 years old. Leather looks good when new, but when it gets old is nasty. My cloth seats still look great, are cooler in summer, and warmer in winter.

I like leather for ease of cleaning but always get paranoid about wear so I tend to clean it a lot and use conditioner when appropriate. Truth be told though if I could have gotten the JBL system without all the doodads like the sunroof and even the leather I probably would have. It's funny though you cant hardly get the nicer audio without them tacking a lot of crap on

    I'm a geologist. I like rocks.

I thought it was a cool idea until the first time the trans shuddered over washboard roads. That rock beat the shit out of my leg...
