Apparently they can't fab armor for 4x4's either. They are all customers of good ole :oldglory: for that.

A manual Taco would be great many places, but very few people here want one, including me, because it would be a pain in the ass in the constant stop & go traffic in this city.
Did it for many years, but ain’t doing it no more. Besides, it’s harder to text if I have to shift and drive.

I need a manual to validate my manhood. It’s the only way to be sure.

Also it’s the only way I personally can enjoy my daily drive. I’ve got the 4 pissed off angry bees spinning at 5k and it’s serious freakin business inside the cab.

Outside the cab, it sounds like this

I have more fun than I should

The list changes every two minutes because they move out so fast.

No, we have serious off-roading to do so actually need the capabilities of the auto.

That’s what I was thinking, but in snow country I would think they would want them. And I also remembered it’s Americans that are the lazy automatic transmission drivers.

There must have been NO off-roading in Canada before the AT right? It is better for most no argument here.

We get farther in and go harder now that we aren’t held back by manual transmissions

Interesting, we didn’t need automatics to go harder. Sorry you weren’t able to experience this till autos.

Me personally... Automatics feel like toys, and I have never owned one.

It's not about being a man or an enthusiast.

I just don't like not having control. I like rev matching and even heal-toe. it's fun to me. Is a computer better than a human? Absolutely. Does Toyota have weird auto transmission's algorithms. Absolutely. None of that matters to me.

I drive a MT on gridlocked Bay Area California traffic, and it has never once bothered me even uphill. I have done this for 17 years.

Because it's fun. And no one wants to borrow your truck cause they don't know how to drive it.

New tune and 91 octane.. I have been getting average of 18-19mpg.

I hit 20MPG average with a custom muffler, but I don't want to get into that.

I’m just :stirthepot::stirthepot::stirthepot: as I’m sure you can tell. Manual guys are always the most sensitive sort.

Anyways, if you life depended on it, anyone with half a brain knows autos are better for serious off-roading (where you go deep and hard).

Even old Ronny Dahl couldn’t hand it to the stick shift for off-roading.

Glad it's not me driving like an asshole

You're like me and used to a 5speed! I had an old Jetta and you had to push it straight down and up into 1st gear for reverse, now that was weird. I actually dont mind it, it's easier to find than my friends jeep. You have to throw the stick somewhere near the passenger's lap then up into the dashboard to reverse.

If I was going to buy an AT I would have looked at the other Brands a lot harder than I did. Probably would have waited until the Ranger dropped to give it a shot as well.
