Dirtbag(s) hit my taco IMG_20180525_112226755.jpg on the driver side rear and ran off while I was at Home Depot...didn't even leave a note. Sped off like asses. Fortunately I was able to pop out most of it...

Sorry man, that kind of slimeball shit infuriates me.

Like man up and deal with your mistake. Nope, instead they run and force the innocent party to deal with it.

Yeah my only hope is that everytime they drive pass me, they feel bad about what they did...let the guilt eat at them until they apologize. Well if they did apologize now I would just let it go. I'm over it kinda...but I still feel so cheated, so used...nevermind may a gigantic firestorm consume them!!!!! Haha

Those dirtbags won’t have any guilt. Do you remember what kind of vehicle you were parked near. Maybe they can catch a plate number or something driving through the lot and the police can make a visit and see if their car has any damage?

Are you sure? Often those cameras have zoom. It’s at least worth a try.

It's about accountability. It's worth a try to identify who it was and putting in a police report will make Home Depot allow the police to review the video. Line up the the time they left along with who had just made purchases, verifying vehicle color if any was left behind on yours, and let them track them down. If nothing else, getting the police report on record will do your small part of documenting the statistic for the PD.

That's some real high end investigation work for a non-injury incident.

I think you'd be lucky if the police even rolled up on a call for a parking lot bump-n-boogie.

Very true, but it's at least worth a try and you never know, you might get a rookie that is in his FTA stage who will have to put some effort in to learn the ropes.

The cops would never show up here in ca. I chased and stopped a hit and run driver one time and called 911, they said they wouldn't roll a unit unless there was injuries and just exchange info and go to the station to file a report.

I worked loss prevention for walmart in college and their cameras were absolute garbage, it couldn't read a plate even if it parked right outside the front door.

Sucks it happened and I hope those cocksuckers pay for it. I would just let insurance handle it

I wonder if most of the people who hit and run even realize they actually hit something? I see a lot of people driving around with that glazed-over look... mouth breathing, eyes half-open and just a general appearance of diminished mental capacity.
