This. I don’t get people. It’s like bedazzling a Fluke multimeter. But whatever.

You lose a time of torque/power opening up the pipes. You will get more sound (maybe) but lose power. If you run a turbo a larger exhaust may be needed. I’m tune and still run stock pipes with a different muff. Truck runs great with power to boot

Just wondering if you separated the exhaust after the oxygen sensors and purchases 2 cat converters, that would change the back pressure and throw codes. I don’t know if there is a computer flash to adjust that.

I’m going with the MBRP turn down so I can’t see it. Duals look silly on a taco.

I would most likely mount it in the spot where the spare goes. My Dakar HD leaf packs do a good job of getting rid of the lean so I'm sitting perfectly even even when loaded

The Tacoma has no central oxygen sensor for Bank 1 and 2. They have independent sensors both pre and post catalytic converters and technically the only thing needed to make our trucks a true dual exhaust would be to break the Y pipe, run new piping out to new mufflers and run some more piping to their tip exits.

Just wanted to clarify this for inquiring minds.

Just put a y on the end and run your pipes how you want, or hang a fake exhaust tip. That way you can unbolt it when you get over it.

    Stock and staying that way
V6's with audible exhaust usually do not sound good, and the few that do, have one or more turbos.

I put dual straight pipes on my first truck. 1995 Nissan pickup V6 4x4 green. I don't think it was a Frontier yet. Loved that truck. Everyone in the neighborhood knew if I was coming or going though. I guess in hindsight it probably sounded a little squirrely, but I was young and dumb. It looked cool as hell. And it got plenty of complements. Just wish I had some pictures.

Duals would probably sound better with an X crossover pipe. Even a V8 sounds better with such an arrangement.

ive never liked duals on trucks coming out the sides. looks dumb. The ram is the only dual setup ide consider, fits flush with the bumper
