Why no locker on long beds?

Does anyone know why a locker is not available on the long bed Tacoma's? I asked the salesmen and some of the mechanics and no one seems to know.

 

Offroad is only model that has a locker.
Offroad does not come in long bed. Only short bed.

This was honestly my first thought.

Truth be told though, every model but the single cab of these trucks is too damn long to really wheel hard. That's the sacrifice you make for having a bed though.

 

I'm waiting for the 3' bed option.....

Fact. I am going to end up keeping my limo, and gearing towards an expedition rig.

I'll need moar travel to compensate for my long ass wheel base.

If you really want to wheel, you need a piece of shit made 15 to 20 years ago that you bought for a couple thousand, then you need it caged, axle'd, and dual cased.

Jeeps are more capable than Tacos off the showroom floor, but nothing you can get from a dealership is really going to wheel. You need something you can roll, pull back upright, and try again with.

Short wheelbase isn't always better, but the harder things get, the more breakover you need. No doubt about it.

 

Locker would've made the perfect truck. Can still play a little though.
