Why no locker on long beds?

locker wont help you turn.

this! i have done it! i had to fold the mirrors in, i turned around as soon as i could, with turned into a 15 point turn. DCLB never could have started the to turn around. as soon as i get bumpers i’ll go down it all the way. that’s one time i wished i had a shorter truck or had an FJ. trail was rated for atv’s dirt bikes, utv’s and some how jeep, but even a jeep would have had a hard time. at one point i had my bed side 1 inch from a tree, i also have like 3 scratches, laces of damage from that trail.

where is the fun in that? and i did with a member yesterday evening/last night. it had a sign saying it was good for jeeps so i was fin. just need armer and all. and the trails i have no problem going down are logging/haul roads.

 

so a forwarder or a logging truck will fit but a DCLB won't ?

 

done some of the trails yes, but not the atv/jeep trail i went part way down it wont fit. but yes the logging roads a DCLB would fit down. hell i never really need 4wd on some of them, i do have good A/T’s tho.

Honestly, I believe it is because the DCLB is just too long to ever be into really intense offroad. Dusy ershim actually has a sign up that recommends only short wheelbase vehicles. That is a hardcore trail, I know. I know I wouldn't recommend getting a DCLB to anyone wanting to offroad hard. I've got 35s and long travel that lifts the truck about 3", and I scrape and get high centered on stupid obstacles. I want a short bed! DCLB is just not practical for hardcore offroad.

 

all depends on what you have around you and what you like.

and i turned around before i got to much damage. nothing made me turn around i don’t have lift or any armer. after i get lift and at list front bumper i’ll go down it all the way. i hope to get slider really soon, got to sell my dirt bike first. than i’ll get sliders and a CB.

 

Lol is it just me, or that thing is actually sagging in the middle? Looks as if its about to snap in half... Do not want.. Lol
