Why no Pro's in longbed configuration?

What is the reason? Why is there no access cab Pro to make up for the longbed.. Or just a longbed in general? Was there ever one offered?

Because the best configuration for rough terrain / off road use is with a short bed

Yeah, the Pros were made to be extremely off road capable. The long bed configuration adds about a foot to the wheelbase, which is not ideal for off road situations. The shorter the wheelbase, (generally), the better the vehicle will perform off road.

Just look at the tires that come stock on the pro. Mini van tires. Hahaha!

I understand you're likely saying this to be inflammatory, but what minivan is running 265/70/16 Goodyear Kevlar's stock?

    Those Kevlars look like balloons.

Not trying to be inflammatory. I just think Toyota should step it up.

In 2015 when Tacoma first made the Pro, they made some in ACLB, but those are the SUPER rare ones.

If that was the case then why didnt they make a regular cab short bed pro? I think they didnt make a long bed because they knew they wouldnt sell.

The stock raptor, power wagon and Trd Pro did Moab on TFL. The Pro had the worst clearances. The Raptor and Power wagon are bigger, but also higher and that made a big difference.
Switchbacks are a different story, short is king on those.

I (personally) think toyota wanted to make a very off road capable vehicle while also having all the bells and whistles along with it. To be honest I don't think anyone wants to pay a premium for a vehicle like that without any proper rear seats.

Given that we don't get an ACLB MT OR, I might have been tempted by a ACLB MT Pro. That's just me though. One of about a quarter million Tacos sold in 2017.

Yep. As "off road capable" as possible but still be able to sell it.
