Why salvaged title?

    Well loans are a different issue. You'll be hard pressed to get a loan for a salvaged vehicle, especially if you are trying to get a loan for most of the cost. You'd have to have quite a good reputation/history at your bank and bank at quite a trusting place.

    But for insurance, yeah they will always ask for the VIN. And that's all they'd need to see that a vehicle has a salvage title. It's indeed possible that you just happen to buy insurance from a company that is a little less strict about things, and willing to "risk" a little more than others. If the price is right, stay with a company like that.

    I always paid cash for vehicles

    Or pulled money out of the business line of credit .

    Things must be different across the river

    Then I have 5 Vehicles insured I pay about $ 8,000.00 a year
