You need a jump start !! BATTERY. Battery 4-5 years old?
Lights brighten when you rev the engine between idle & 2000 rpm? Then alternator OK, and battery dieing.
Even better if you have a voltmeter to test. Better yet to take it to an auto parts shop and have it load tested.

The 'stuff' on the plates of the battery falls off over time. This 1) reduces the efficiency of the plates, and 2) builds up over time and shorts the cells.
"Better" batteries have more space below the cells .. ie longer warranty before they short out.
Much better batteries have different construction, so the material stays in place, more cell surface area for more charge, and current capacity.

alright yall!! good news... it was the damn battery. I had them load test it and sure enough it was fried..... so instead of paying them $20 to install it and pay $99 for a 2 year warrantee with no proration, i went to discount auto...
