Yeah it blows, but the kids get to go to a good school and wife had to have the kitchen in this damn house. Happy wife, Happy life, I would just as soon live in a tent otherwise.

You can park in your driveway, but your vehicle can't sit there more than 24hrs. So I had to make sure the truck would be able to go in the garage, in the event we are away or on vacation.

I didn't do any research before I bought the truck. I didn't know DCLB. Was an option...

But, with my headache rack and bed extender, I can haul a lot with the DCSB.

    Like this 14' 6X6:

    IMG_20140522_165745_934_zps8kzm3tlg_4688f5e202c2de44c413138029c831c464a7f4e2.jpg

Or, if won't fit, or is just something I don't want to put in the truck bed, like sand or stone, I use this:

    IMG_20140322_120755_627_zpstl90kmv8_e3e2e9a0f7866072f4c18a38f1dd888f9fc73876.jpg

    IMG_20140910_173644_775_zps2mtlfgze_0994f7b8920f1c3786d1e357e8ed8cb3a70a66de.jpg

Going in, I would've bought a DCLB had I known it was an option. Now, however, I would stick with the DCSB. I've yet to run into a situation that I wished I had a long bed. Granted, the trailer helps there...

IMO, DCSB is perfect sized for me, wife, small kid and medium sized dog. DCLB looks funny and access cab has too small a back seat.

Though, every time I have to haul something I wish I still had my Tahoe or a full size truck.

My previous vehicle died of 300k+ miles.

The bank wouldn't go for the 2009 DCLB, all hooked up and immaculately maintained out the yingyang because it was over 100k mile at any %age.
    This was a sweet truck.
Our credit rating is well over 750.

But they would go for a 2008 DCSB with less options at 87k for 4k more at 2.75%.
As we pay ahead anyway, they'll get very little interest.

    Moral: Banks are morons.

Anyway, that's why I bought this.

Just goes to show it truly is preference. For me the DCSB looks bad. It just reminds me of a short bus. I think the DCLB actually looks pretty great even when it's not lifted.

Wheelbase! If you drive much in tighter places (even parking lots), the LB sort of drives like a bus with a terrible turning radius. Also, I have lived with an AC Tundra for 13 years and get real annoyed with the suicide doors on the AC...even though you can actually fit most adults in the back seat in the Tundra, the AC back seat in the Taco is for kids and dwarfs! Really sucks for most adults to try to ride in the back seat of a Taco AC with the vertical seat backs and 0 leg room. Plus. the Taco is replacing a car so a quasi real back seat was required.

I don't live in Seattle, but it isn't comparable to SF parking so far as I've seen on my trips there. Full size GM parks all day in SF. Easy? No. Totally doable though.

Seattle has tons of small streets and tiny parking. Granted SF has more smaller streets but I can't park my tacoma down there most of the time. Im lucky to find a spot I fit in
