Tacomaworld is the Bowsite.com of vehicle forums. In case anyone is wondering, Bowsite is the best damn archery/bowhunting website ever.

TW shows up in the Google que when Googling Tacoma. Also the most pictures of Toyota trucks to be found on the internet.

People don't join TW on purpose. They are compelled by the OneBob to come here, unknowingly.

Also, there are two eras of Tacomaworld....with TWUG and without TWUG. Recent members have no idea...

    I was recruited :p

Two other vehicle forums I've been a member of in the past, both were great.

TwinTurbo.net for Z cars. Even let single T guys like me and NA guys play.

Miata.net. Same software as this site.

Both had decent moderation, minimal ads, knowledgeable people. And buffoons.

But buffoons happen everywhere. It's ok. Most of the time they either implode or the forum 'self policing' cools them down. Or they can go to your safe place. :D

I bought a 2014 tacoma 4 cylinder, and all my other trucks have been way older toyota (think solid axle). I was looking to make it super capable off road wile keeping it daily drivable. TW helped me do just that! Then I joined Texas Toyota Coalition, never looked back.

Nah....but I've been hanging there since 1998. Will say this, there are a ton of bowhunters on that site that drive Taco's.

Researching info on buying my first Tacoma this year led me here for a few reasons:

    1) Other forums were riddled with ads and I absolutely hate that.

    2) The depth of knowledge here astounded me and I felt comfortable enough that I could ask questions to get meaningful answers.

    3) For the most part, everyone is here for the same reason.

    4) Other sites were either inactive, required a login just to look, or were more comedic and snarky than useful.

    5) TW has tons of cool ideas to share for mods, detailed instructions or help when needed, provide creative solutions for common problems, and the non-truck content too, i.e. pets, photography.

    6) The forum, quite frankly, is really easy to use and I’ve never had a connection issue.

I joined a few months after my purchase after I had my accident that laid me up for 7 months.
I was looking for information on my truck and why there was a TX & TXpro edition and then the baja came out, so why so many styles and what was the difference. Is there more? to be released which happened to be the Pro(BRO) edition and questions like that.

Then not to long after I was able to drive again I met some friends on here that where down and for the cause. Some are still here and some have dropped off.

I still find good stuff in here and sometimes come up with good stuff so I post it.
Welcome to T. World and you find this sight as useful and often comical woth the threads and posts.

Some say, the banned members memorial thread didn't used to be locked. And that the funny pics thread didn't used to require an image to post.
