Why the auto LSD on a 4x4? (non OR)

    Auto LSD is a stronger limited slip than the standard TRAC and easily turns on. Use it any time the truck doesn't move ahead from a stop.

    The rear locker is for emergency only. If Auto LSD doesn't move you, then the locker is there, since you don't have 4WD.

    Thanks David and everyone for the info. I tried reading the manual to get some better understanding. But came away more confused. lol I'm still confused how TRAC OFF = More traction control/stronger LSD with no throttle control, but I'm not a Toyota engineer.

    Crazy, right?
    Trac Off is just a poor name choice because Trac is not off, the engine regulation/cut is turned off. This means no restriction on power going to the traction tire while brakes hold the spinning tire.
