Think Ford will discount the price of replacing the turbo when it dumps? And it will.

Extended warranty will cover that...whats the powertrain 5 year or 60k? Just spend another $1500 for ext warranty and bump it up to 125k / 8 years. I would not keep the truck much beyond that anyway. Turbo will be fine.

About the same if you were to buy the warranty for the Tacoma as well...otherwise a whopping 1500 more? The Tacoma and f150 prices are pretty close as I posted links to some Ford listings earlier. 39k list price for a 3.5L ecoboost 4x4 supercrew...same as my TRDOR was. Ford dealers will negotiate much better than Toyota

Had my share of Fords. 68 289 mustang, 85 and 91 Gt mustangs. 71 bronco sport. Fords quality went downhill in the 90s. My Father bought a new 2010 double cab 5.4 I think, had it in the shop 3 times for a roof leak. No Ford in my future but have @ it if you desire one.

My Fords have been great. Ford ranger was bulletproof and they sell like hotcakes. Can't wait to see the next one.

They overpriced the 3rd Gen. by $5K to $10K. Prices soar when you start adding in a few options. The $25K base price looks good on paper until you see what you get for that.

Good thing I didn't care for blind spot monitoring, dual climate control (I'm single and the only person riding in the truck 90% of the time), parking sensors with rear cross traffic alert, sunroof, and JBL audio upgrade.
I bought one with a sticker price of $37k and paid $34k so mine was overpriced about $5-6k but I'm still enjoying the truck.

My first Ford was a lifted F 150 4X4 Off Road Tires,Reg. Cab ,A/C ,PS,PB,AM/FM Rubber Floor Mats $12,500 out the door.Six months of gross wages at the time which was typical.

Today the average Tacoma buyer would have to earn $72,000 a year to stick to the six month rule. The six month wage rule has doubled to 1 year of wages for the average wage buyer.

CEO pay used to be 40 times the average worker now it's 400 times the average worker.

This site claims the average Tacoma buyer is 49 years old and makes about $70k a year on average.

I fell short of the 6 month rule since I only make $60k a year but I'm 25 years younger than the average Tacoma buyer.

Looks like most Tacoma buyers are middle age middle class men.

Toyotas have always been boring...people buy them for reliability, not a hot rod.

Seems like they are trying to be a little more exciting in the looks department, wish they would go back to be boring. Most of their latest designs across their car and truck range is a bit garish to me.

Wish we could get the boring vanilla styling of the LC70 here. Don't care the latest Transformer machismo trend most vehicles are going for these days...

$70,000 a year income for Tacoma buyers sounds rich.I see brand new 3rd. Gens. parked in the back of Costco and grocery store cashiers getting into brand new 4Runners and Tacoma's.

7 & 8 year terms, loose credit standards and leasing is putting $13-$15 an hour workers into these vehicles.

The average pay for an S&P 500 CEO was $12.4 million in 2015, or 335 times the pay of a rank-and-file worker, according to a new report from the AFL-CIO.

That gap is actually narrower than the one posted in 2014, when CEOs earned $13.5 million, or 373 times the pay of the average worker.
