Why Toyota?

What the hell is toyota introducing this model for.....it just seems like a terrible marketing plan......?

They needed something new for 11 besides the grille. You be surprised with the folks who buy them though.

 

eh, it will suite many people in cali type areas... 4door, economical, cheap

 

They introduce, ugly low riders (4door, Access or reg cab) as a marketing strategy to get people to buy a prerunner or 4x4. I love my taco but their regular 2wds are UGLY!!

 

Not my thing, but it is very practical..

 

FWIW i think toyota was when they thought "hey, lets put 4x4 suspension under a 2wd truck and call it a prerunner"

 

coming from c mack anything that remotely bangs (ie 4banger) that means a lot!!

 

agreed...... i guess the double cab 2wd would be good work truck.......

just seems strange to have a 4000lb truck with a inline 4 ......o well

wait till they release the dclb 2wd..........
and maybe the dc x runner?

idk with that long of a wheelbase and low height they might have to add a tandem axel in the back?

Slammed double cab, It would look good with some Xrunner wheels and maybe a bit more lowered.

I can see a DC 4banger, but why put fender flares over such tiny wheels? Those wheels already looked crazy small without the fender flares.
