Someone with a decent driving record may not even see an increase in insurance rates for a claim so small. So yea, it is easily replaced BUT it would be a bummer to lose your original VIN sticker.

Let me clarify. Easily replaced as in a new one can be ordered, and installed in 2 minutes once received. So yes, easy to "replace" but not "cheap". I would be ripshit if I walked to my truck and my tailgate was gone.

Didn't know it happened. That's part of the problem, people with their head up their ass causing problems for others. Clueless inattentive inconsiderateness, yep that accounts for most of the unecessary "accidents" . See any caps or exclamation marks? Then you see no anger and unless you are over 55 then take your own advice because that is obviously the only thing you can do when shit like this goes on. I come from a world where people used to have consideration if they wanted any and their shoulders is where their heads were instead of up their ass. Just because I find it retarded the way people are that cause crap for others and speak up about it doesn't mean I remotely think it'll change anything. I'm still callin shit shit, you can call shit candy all you want.

My Tacoma got swiped pretty good in the first week of ownership. Fortunately it was mostly paint transfer, I think their bumper was plastic. Hit and run property needs to be a felony.

I think I am on about the third or forth set of tail lights I keep a new right and left one on the shelf.

    Just a work related hazard.

Ass hole across the street from my house has bumped into my rear bumper and the front and rear bumper on my wife's car and damaged both her car and my truck. Then he just pulled away, no shits given. I saw him do it, confront him, he acts like he doesn't speak English. He wasn't parked in at all. I blame myself though because I have a driveway. I didn't park in it because it was snowed so I put them in the street to shovel. Both her car and my truck were less than a year old.

I was able to buff the paint out of my rear bumper, no dents. Her car was not so lucky, cracked both her front and rear plastic bumpers. Just gives me more motivation to stop dragging my feet and get my armor done.

I just put mine on directly. What I did was close it down with a screwdriver to the point where it rotates freely without scratching, then placed it where I wanted the nut to end up, and tightened it with needle nose pliers.

i think the chances are really low here, especially the places i go. But this mod is way too easy to not do it. And my tailgate is newly painted and pristine(i scratched it bad :annoyed:) so i want to protect it.
