Why wont 2023 TRD OR spin donuts with traction control off?

The ignore feature is for the weak!!!
If you truly want to enjoy life then you need to enjoy all it has to offer, not be selective! There are people here that might be a little on the sharp side but can still provide quality information in the right context. The ignore feature just blocks you of those moments.

o_O What constitutes fun for one may not for another. But, by all means, keep preaching your gospel of doing fucking donuts as the end all be all of what the definition of fun looks like, lol.

I learned something. How turn turn off all the nanny traction devises.

Now next winter on the ice, I can try a handbrake turn. All that nanny stuff was messing with me last winter.

Are you using your ebrake??? You probably aren't hard shutting off traction control. It has 2 setting. To completely disable you press and hold for 5 seconds.

You want the one that says Trac off

Yes, yes, I know, and real men don't filter their coffee either. I am ok with that. I have lived enough of the full experience to last the rest of my lifetime. I have chosen to be more selective with the time I have left and the people I spend it with.

G2.M6 thanks for the screen shot.

Get your truck tuned to reduce the throttle lag. You can smoke Challengers at stop lights then. I recommend KD Max. There is a long post on this forum.

It’s a fun truck. E brake is in the right spot as well. Doubt I’d clutch kick it heading into a turn in the dirt, but I’d be lying if the thought hasn’t crossed my mind.. Congrats on the new truck.

Maybe the OP would accept a Dunkin Donuts certificate and be done with it.

heres my 2023 after i picked it up just to see if it could. holding tc button 10 seconds it still cuts power and bogs down if you hit limiter. plus no auto lsd and the fun suckers at toyota made it so locker can only be engaged in 4lo so it will do nothing but a one wheel peel. best results were with a single press of tc off button so auto lsd is on. you have to be on and off the gas or it will immediately cut power. have also tried on dry pavement and with 33s since. https://youtu.be/KKxS1mC__f0

You don't need to be hitting limiter to do donuts, especially on wet or snow. I have a manual so I know it's easier to just bounce around the RPMs in 1st, but I think it might just be your technique. Throw it into manual mode and put it in first and rev it up to like 5800RPM as needed as you cut the wheel.

I just watched your video and I think you're doing em lol. It's not a Hellcat you're not going to keep momentum for 60 seconds but you're still whippin em just fine for a Tacoma

Absolutely correct. My ‘15 is the 1st vehicle I’ve ever owned with any electronic nannies. 1 day, from a complete stop I made a very quick left turn and felt the back off the vehicle shake. I thought I broke something. Turns out it was the VSC doing its job. Something I would’ve known had I read the owners manual. Haha
