I could possibly do it if I filled the holes and painted it. Don’t get me wrong the body likes look good on the truck. But it would just bother me if I knew I had holes showing on my truck. That’s why I posted this asking why? Like that doesn’t bother y’all? Or i put just bolts in it it would bother me. Again that’s why I asked. Idk I’m just trying to see why some do it. The holes really don’t bother y’all tho?

    Not..

Thought it looked like silver streak metallic.

    I'd paint em then.

Will finally paint my truck anyway. Very light silver roof fade to darker gray, then to black by rockers..

I'm with OP on this one. I'm not a fan of the hole look at all. The trimmed fenders with trimmed flares to match is the way to go IMO if you need the extra clearance.

They did, but only for a 5 lug Double Cab (which was a shortbed). The problem is that 5 lug DCSB are next to impossible to find.

I agree, hate the flares but removing them and leaving the holes doesn't look any cleaner. On my white truck leaving them would probably irritate me more than having them scraped and cracked. Some day I'll find a nice looking 2WD base truck to swap all the stuff I want over.

Yes it has! Virginia? I haven't been there yet but I have done a couple of trails in North Carolina. I love the mountains.
