    For all of the Sport/OR owners who want to add Pro parts;

    -Toyota does not want to devalue the TRD Pro model by selling parts to non-Pro owners
    -Toyota attempt to limit Pro parts strictly for collision repairs

    Riiiiiiiiiiight tell that to all the Poser Pro's out there, and the new ones to come. Toyota is not going to turn away money in the least.

    I mean if I were to pay $50k+ for a mid size truck I'd want to do everything I could to maintain its value too ... lol

    I think the only time they limit sales of Pro parts is if they are low on stock.

    They’ve always needed VINs. It’s a corporate policy, usually has a sunset period where parts are protected for X years until anybody can then buy them.

    If someone goes to a dealer counter and buys a part, the dealer is substituting a VIN and they’re the ones making the money. There are ways around it, obviously, but it is what it is. Toyota wants verification, someone just needs a source.

    Amazon knock off FTW and a quarter of the price. I'm happy with my fake pro grill. Also painted the letters to make it different.

    I bought some stuff for my SR from Olathe Toyota awhile back and I needed a vin. They called me to verify what I ordered was not oem for my truck. I said it's all aftermarket upgrades and they didn't have a problem sending them out to me.

    Now they want an explanation of why you need the part too.

    I wouldn’t call them “posers” unless someone added the wording (badging) “PRO” on their truck.

    there are plenty of those poor fellas that add “PRO” badging though.

    How would any of that devalue a $50k+ mid size truck? Maybe I'm missing the point, but what impact would somebodies mods on their lower trim level vehicle have on anybodies vehicle other than their own?

    I have not had a single issue buying Pro parts, no one ever asked for a VIN#.

    More importantly, could you imagine owning a Pro and giving a shit about this enough to create a thread about it?

    I bought 4Runner Pro wheels from the dealer no questions asked for what it's worth...
