    I drove nothing but manual transmission cars for 45+ years, but then had a stroke in May of 2014 that messed up my left side and had to get an auto. It took me months to get used to it, more than once in a quick stop I almost went through the windshield because my left foot caught that stupid two foot wide brake pedal--considered taking a sawzall to it more than once...
