Not trying to troll...but what is the purpose of light bars and all the extra lights? Admittedly some setups look pretty sweet, but is it all fashion or does it have some function?

They help illuminate your parking spot before you park so you can make sure there are no burglars in it.

The main reason I bought my lights and the benefit for me is spotting and avoiding animals while I’m driving. Im not sure how many times I’ve been able to stop in time to avoid hitting moose, elk, and deer... The lights have paid for themselves multiple times.

I only have limitted lighting. As with everything else on the truck I pretty much only do stuff that has a purpose. The pods in the bumper are amber and are my fog lights and I use the ditch lights traveling the back roads at night to help spot animals and they have saved me alot of times. Never turned on if anybody is coming.

The rear lights are to help me load and unload the 4wlr from my utillity trailer in the dark or if I have to set up the camper in the dark. There are 2 flush mounts in the bumper and an extra higher up on the swingout.

I drove 1/2 way through an entire state in the middle of night. They turn night into day and they got me safely to my destination offroad at 4am in the morning.

I use mine on the regular. Get out of the city onto some back country rounds filled with deer

Or remote areas out west. Need all the light you can get

Why are the stock headlights not sufficient? Just last night I had to stop for a couple of deer crossing the road stock lighting gave my plenty of heads up. I would think out west it would be less of an issue because your roads tend to be less "crowded" by trees. Is it a speed thing? I drive like and old man so I am usually not over driving my lights.

You set up seems practical and makes sense. Do the ditch lights give you a wider field of view? Why are they better than head lights?

Cows are super stealthy and move super fast in such unpredictable ways no amount of lighting can save you...

True, the aux lighting really helps out with remote trail night travel an FU signal to other motorist that leave brights on after a quick flash of my brights also. But my headlights are super bright with the ultimate headlight upgrade.

These are the side projecting ditch lights yea they really widen your field of view and illuminte your peripheral vision. I have spotted deer several times I would have never seen just relying on the facotry lighting
