Haven't checked Rugged Ridge but the Smittybilts have a lifetime mechanical/3 yr electrical warranty it mattes to you. I am considering the XRC 10000 or X20 10000 in synthetic. Check out Engo as well. Although, they only have a one or two year electrical but lifetime mechanical warranty.

...ooh where are you mounting the winch? Front bumper, hidden winch, or on a cradle?

Not necessarily. It impacts where you mount your solenoid. If you were going to use a cradle, make sure that you get one that can withstand your winch rating. I am now on the fence about using a cradle versus hidden front winch. I can use it in the rear if necessary or stow it in the garage when I'm just daily driving (with a cradle that is)...

Yeah i thought about that to but i leaning more for the hidden mount for the look also! The champion winch i was looking at comes with the cradle and its a 12000lbs the rugged ridge is 9500 lbs wich i think is kind of limit ! Isn't it ? I saw good review and bad for the champion it comes with cradle and synthetic line for 449$ cnd the smittybilt around 539$ with the steel cable and wireless remote ! The rugged ridge is 410$cnd , good price but 9500lbs with steel cable...would the champion 12000lbs be too big to be hidden behind the grill ? That's where im at !
