Yeah Wicked creations told me to cut the steering stops off with a cut off wheel. Just cut thru the narrowest section.

That really pisses me off. I'll send a picture later but I have a big indent on the LCA from the steering stop. I was never told by Wicked to cut it off. Oh well you live you learn I guess

I got the T/C spec’d Fox 2.5 DSC coil overs they are a perfect fit on the wicked creations kit. Just don’t forget that you’ll need to get 1.5” spacers for the lower coil over mount because T/C is spec’d for 1.25”. Accutune had these in stock, I’ll post a pic with the part number and specs. Just make sure the thicker spacer goes on the cv axle side. But if you forget to order then you could always find 1/4” spacer/washer to fill the gap.

Agreed 100%. Thats why I’m trying to post as much information, tips, or issues with pics on this thread as much as possible. I’ll end up doing a detailed YouTube video once I’m completely satisfied.

What are you doing for bump stops? The guy that @trail.taco previously mentioned (@j_booleo on Instagram) is running the +5 kit. He ended up bendng his whole shock tower because wicked never told him to get longer bump stops.

I was told limit straps should be 8”. The first pic is of the display in the wicked creations office. Their limit strap mount is located above the large frame hole. With a brand new strap I was not able to get it to reach in that location. Because the frame is dropping moving it to the side gave me the fit I needed. Ideally you want limit strap as straight as possible but I don’t plan on jumping the truck so this should be good for my application. When setting the limit straps be careful!! The cv axles are the first point of contact against the lower control arms don’t pinch the rubber cv boot against the lower control arm or you could damage the boot.

The below is not advice or anything wicked creations told me to do. Do this at your own risk. I was testing for better fitment of the cv axle so it doesn’t hit the lower control arm. My wicked creations kit came with 1/4” washers for use with 4Runners. I used a washer in between the lower spindle and ball joint to spindle adapter to lift the spindle and cv farther from the lower control arm. It does work and there is plenty of thread on the bolt. However now the limiting factory with the extra droop is that now the cv angle binding will be your lowest droop factor. So setting the limits straps you’ll want the tire off the ground so that it can be spun to verify there’s no cv binding. New limit straps will stretch out!! I highly recommend setting the limits “shorter” then what they need to be and checking them after driving awhile.

I just looked at his page lol. That dude romps that truck and that truck romps!!! I love it. However me personally I won’t jump a truck without triple bypass shocks, it’s hard to tell from his page if he has any. As for the bump stops I’ve always been under the impression if your using your truck running trails, rock crawling, and hitting whoops rubber stops will be sufficient and if your gonna do all that really hard and hit jumps air bumps are the best. Accutune sells different length rubber bumps that I believe bolt into the factory location for the front. I like stuff to match but I don’t think fox makes air bumps so I’ve been looking into locked offroad for air bumps.
It would definitely be fun to go romp with j_booleo if he’s in SoCal lol

Great write up! Super helpful. I won't be installing limit straps myself (I can't weld lol) but I'll certainly keep that in mind. I am curious if I should I also buy those washers. I'll be tearing the front end apart for new paint soon, so it might be worth it

I'm pretty sure that any LCA that advances the wheel position - so all LT kits that I know of and several stock length options - require trimming the steering stops. Just installed BTF stock length lowers this weekend and that required trimming the stops.

If your in SoCal I can help with the limit straps.

Also in one of the pics you can see that I turned the brake bracket so it’s not pointing at the upper control arm.

Do you guys have any pictures of what you did for limit straps on the rear. I’m in the process of long travel just can’t afford shock relocation yet. But I just blew out shocks because of too much down travel with new leafs. Would like to put limit straps with my new shocks that I’m getting so I don’t f them up

Hell yeah bro! I put mine in and they sat at the same height as the factory length lol. So I need to adjust the preload, gonna add about 1/2”.
Pro tip: adjust the preload ring so the lock screw is facing out and then you won’t need to remove the coil over to adjust preload later.

What spring rate did you guys go with? I was running a 600lb spring on my old 2.0s. IMO it was way too soft.

I checked and they are already gonna be accessible when on the truck. I learned the hard way with my stock length ones haha
