600lb. Didnt want to go any stiffer so they still flex out in the rocks. Got the more aggressive “dual sport” valving this time though. Excited to try that out in the desert

Yeah that makes sense. I don't venture out in the rocks that much. what's your front bumper setup/weight?

    Yes
I wouldn't consider the loss of ground clearance with that LBJ adapter configuration a " win", any kit that uses a LBJ adapter like that has about 2" + less ground clearance under the LCA ...

And yet I have had 0 issues crawling , dragging the lcas over rocks or any other thing. At least since 2012. Not to mention the point your making in the pictures is so close to the tires/wheels it really makes little difference. Like the LCA ball assembly bolt/nut hanging under the joint.

Pretty big difference. I personally wouldnt buy a kit that moves the lca down that low with an lbj adapter. Not just by the tire but the whole arm hangs lower

A portion perhaps, but not the whole LCA.

I went with 600lbs and the accutune adventure tune. The guys at accutune really pushed me to 600 because I wanted 650 based on how my factory length coil overs felt. But they strongly believe anything with less then 350lbs of accessories on the front end stays in the 600 springs and that when properly valved/tuned the softness is no longer an issue.

How’s it going. I’m J_Booleo on insta. Located over in the Denver area. Would be dope to head out west and link up with all you boys! I’ve got a lot to say about this kit.

I bought the +5 kit back in October. I didn’t receive it for 12 weeks. When it came I noticed all the uniballs were hand loose. No real play but the uniballs were looser than any other one I’ve gotten new. I installed the kit initially with mid travel coilovers which only extend to about 22”. I then ordered some 8” coilovers from Accutune which extend to 24” which is the perfect extended length for this kit. After installing the shocks I Quickly realized the Cv shafts were rubbing so Mike from Accutune told me to get 2” rod ends. Finally it all went back together. After a few drives my CV boots ripped open. I noticed at full droop the boots were contacting the lca even with the LBJ Spacers. I measured Without coilovers and this kit cycles 15” of travel at full bump compression meaning that rubber bumps pancaked. You can only cycle about 12-13” strapped before the boots start rubbing. Last weekend I took the rig out to some pretty hefty whoops. My coil buckets decided to buckle on me. This was due to my Coilovers having a changed Extended/compressed length from adding in the 2” rod ends to allow room for the cv shafts to articulate. Since the shock length increased my bump stops no longer made contact at full compression so all the load was transferred directly to my upper coil bucket. I’m honestly not sure if king/fox make spec 8” coilovers with 2” rod extensions like y’all have found which only extend to 24” so lmk if that’s where I went wrong. My plan currently is to weld in new coil buckets that extend 2” higher to get back the lost up travel. I’m also installing 2.5” air bumps to mitigate any unwanted forces being transferred up top.

Hope this isn’t too confusing for y’all. Ik this post is all over the place, wanted to cram in as much info as I could lol.

Did they set you up with 16”x600lbs springs or 18”x600lbs springs. They told me 18” springs would work well, but I think they have coil bind, I could be wrong, coil spacing just seems tight at ride height.

DO NOT buy thier axles! They use very low quality metal. My buddy Rocklander on Insta snapped his cv shafts from wicked. Almost always it’s the joints that fail. Not for him, the shaft itself snapped in half!

Glad you made it in here bro, gave you a follow on Insta earlier.
Look at post #67 in this thread this use of 1/4”washers between the spindle and lower ball joint adaptor will help keep your cv boot from contacting the lower control arm but the limiting factor will be the cv angle binding so make sure you can spin the wheel when you set the limit straps.

I second this. If you have a 3.5" kit I'd go with dirtking

Lol they posted on Insta how they make the driveshafts in-house. I have their complete drive shaft assemblies so we’ll find out lol. Hopefully they do so I’m forced to buy rcv axles lol

I got a couple questions. I also follow you on insta, im @_dylan1r
Are you running bypasses in the front?
Also would you say the rear end out performs the front end?

I bought just their shafts and I am rebuilding with some fresh oem joints. I know people who have broke the dirt king 300m shafts as well so who knows

Do you know anywhere that sells just the joints? Getting the outer joint snap ring was a pain in the ass

No i used entire oem cv axle assemblies and took the joints off. Still need to go get the star pressed off. Heard it takes between 15-20 tons.

Im curious to see if wicked provides a new snap ring with their shafts or if I have to ask / try to buy two off of them. Not sure where i could even buy them
