Yeah, I definitely like the sound of the 18, I just don't want it to be too quiet. Hearing it in person sure would help.

Just got off the phone with the folks at Bear River; I was planning on buying an 2.25 inch 18 inch wicked flow, but was denied... I was told that they are on back- order and have no idea when they will be stocked again. Anyone got a spare?!

Sorry to hear that. I ordered mine this morning around 10am, and got an email from them around noon stating that it has been shipped and will be here on Thursday. I must have gotten the last one.

    My bad

Was the 18 your first choice?

no, but i was entertaining the idea, since its allot quieter. i figure, if its to loud i can just go to an 18 later. i hate to waste money, but i hate to not try the 13 when i have a feeling ill like it. i spoke with Lorin at Bear Converters. he said on a scale of 1 to 10 on loudness, flowmaster would be a 7, the 13' wf a 5 and stock being a 2. I guess we will see! if i want an 18' im sure i can find someone that would want something louder and buy my 13. I can wait!

So that would put the 18 around a 3.5? That scale doesn't make sense. When I listen to a bunch of clips last night the 18 sounded the best to me. I'm not looking for something too loud (my Tahoe with the 5.7 and a Delta 44 on it set car alarms off). Just a little louder then stock

Ha, ok... thats what he told me. I had a flowmaster on my 5.7L silverado. the exhaust was dumped and loud, but i dont remember setting off alarms. there are louder mufflers than that model flowmaster, so i wouldnt say his estimate is far off. at any rate, i think you are going to get what you are wanting with the 18. it sounds great, but its not loud at all.

Hopefully I like it. Otherwise I just wasted 82 bucks and will need to get the 13.

Now to find a cheap shop to install it

Plus I really like how its expected to be here Thursday

This shop next to my house thats been in business for a long time quoted me 60 to 80 bucks over the phone. not sure if thats the best price, but i do want it done clean and right. are you going to dump yours or keep it looking stock? i think im going to have them put the tail pipe back like stock.

I have already cut my exhaust right after it makes the turn over the axle. So I'm gonna keep that. I like not seeing a tail pipe

None yet but soon all black.
Hey guys, how does this muffler compaire to the flowmaster 40 series. I have that on my truck and it sounds great and loud but the muffler is 6 years old. Had it on my 2 rams and then put it on my Tacoma and its rusting now. Would the wf 13in muffler sound the same as the fm 40 or quiter. I don't want something low sound, I want a deep loud sound like the fm 40. Thanks.

Don't know. If you like the sound of the 40, why not just replace the rusted one with a new 40?

Well I got it installed yesterday. Its exactly what I wanted. A little louder then stock during normal driving and a lot louder at WOT
