I contacted Bear River Wednesday for the WF 18" muffler. The discounted price is great, and they shipped it out the same day. They're good people- no BS and quick to respond- now I just need to get it welded on.

I just ordered my Wicked Flow today at 5:30 EST and to my amazement it will be sent out today! I also received the 25% discount. I communicated with BRC through email and met me tell you they replied almost instantly. It was great! I got the 13" w/ 2.5" pipe. I am stoked!

Now I just have to decide where I want it to dump. Right off the muffler or out the stock location with a new shinny or black slash cut tip.

Tips don't do much for sound, they are almost entirely cosmetic. Some tips do have resonators, but they are not as effective as a resonator that is in the pipe. If the tip is large enough, it can cause a tone shift to a deeper sound, but it is not actually any louder.

I got the WF on this afternoon. Other than a marginally quicker mid RPM response, there's no performance gain (seat of the pants method), and none was expected or advertised. Interior noise is a bit of a drone at acceleration, but the sound is good and deep. I'll be curious to see what it does for mileage - between the muff and a K&N filter with a cobbled up deck plate mod I expect maybe 1 to 1.5 mpg improvement.

The only issue- my exhaust was 2.5" rather than 2.25. No real problem, but a point for reference. My truck is a TRD Prerunner Off Road double cab short bed, '05 edition.

    Lorin, thanks for the help.

I was all ready to order one but just wanted to call around to some muffler shops to get an estimate on installing it.

Where are you guys getting it installed for $40?? Are you getting that price at the big chain places or the smaller places?

    Here's the quotes I got..

    Midas said $90
    Midas #2 said $115
    Monro Muffler said $100+
    Mr. Tire said $100

I got quoted $125 from a local exhaust shop. They did my dads car and a few of my buddies. That price is to get it welded on, and dumped behind the pass rear wheel with a tip! I think it is a little high, but I know they do good work and such.

Goldfish, I guess it depends on where you live. Here in Chesterfield Virginia they quoted me $60 and some cents OTD. They included hangers if any is needed, extra lenght tube if needed ( they took off my 5X8X18 Maganaflow off). Wicked flow I got is a 13" so there is a need of an extra tube. The install took less than 30 mins. I just got a cup of coffee from the shops lobby and by the time I finished it they handed me the keys and showed me the welding job. Good one too.

Try small shops within 15 miles around you. You might get lower quotes.

Just so you guys know, when you purchase a WickedFlow tip with your muffler, you get the same 25% discount on the tip.
