Salvage can be a great buy with consideration of lots of variables. The main being what created the salvage and how well was it fixed. And if you plan to keep it many years, thus avoiding the issues you just experienced.

Thing of it is you have to be at the right place at the right time, see what's going on and know something about what you are looking at to have the confidence for that purchase. So it's a very very niche market.

I set up every autotrader alert possible. Probably called close to 300 delearships that year. I found 10 or so available but with like a 10k markup. At the end of 21 I found one in Kansas at 500 above msrp. But I'm not exaggerating when I say I called 300 dealers. I even had one sell at msrp while I was on the fuckong phone with them.
