AEM sells an exhaust clamp with a bung. Drill a hole into your exhaust, and place the clamp over it. Bung over the hole.

So is the consensus 1" aft of where the y pipe merges? I bought the AEM x series gauge.

I think I did mine like 3 inches so the clamp has room to completely seal. But I went with that clamped bung and have had no issues.

Reviving an old thread. Recently procured an AEM wideband and boost gauge. Got gauges installed, need to put in exhaust sensor.

I have thoroughly confused myself reading these threads on where to place the sensor. I think the best place reading this right now would be on passenger side behind first cat. I have a standard setup there. I guess the Y would be the second best place. The AEM instructions say in front of CAT, but that seems troublesome and not as big of a deal with tiny output changes.

I have capability to MIG weld it in at the house. I was thinking I'd just unbolt the second cat and put it in at the 2 o'clock position opposite the factory sensor.

    So questions:
    1) Would the Y be superior to see gas from both sides but cooler and further downstream behind second cat, that seems to be consensus on several threads but then I see URD puts their bung for this sensor on one side...
    2) Are there any gaskets that need to be replaced if unbolt out section with Cat?
    3) Does it have to be TIG welded? It doesn't seem like it has to be pretty...

    Thanks so much.
