So I will be upgrading my wheels soon. I checked discount tire website and falkens website And both give me different numbers on maximum wheel width.

The wheel I might be going with is 9" wide. Anyone on here running 255 on 9" wide wheels?

    Personally I wouldn’t go wider than 8.5”

Go with what the falken website says, not a third party. That said that’s wide AF for a 255

    I agree
But my issue here is I have 18s. (The stock wheel for the limited is 18). And long ago I bought tires for that wheel. My size of choice is 17, but since the tires have like 500 miles on them, guess I'll keep them. Which limits me to an 18 inch wheel now.

But with the stock wheels, the tire rubs on the UCA (JBA) at full lock. So I need more negative offset. But all the wheels with -12 (which is the only negative offset number I'm seeing in 18) is at least 9 inches wide.

Edit: I think I've seen one wheel in 18 with a 8.5 width, but it was ugly as shit

Why not just get a BORA 3/4” spacer? Would be enough to push it off the uca and a lot cheaper. And less rubbing issues on the firewall.

I dislike spacers. I know people have had success with them, but I've also seen a lot of horror stories with them. Also it's another step to have to take off when working on parts and stuff. So I rather eliminate that extra step and possible hazard by just getting the correct wheel offset

Nothing wrong with that, you do you. That said, my stance on spacers is if you use quality spacers and install properly (i.e. use a torque wrench) there’s nothing to worry about. Wheeled the shit out of my truck for 3 years now with them, no issues. Have 35s too. But I understand people’s apprehension

So I'm reading on a few wheel sites that 255 and 265 can actually go on a 9 inch rim safely. The info out there is all over the place :annoyed:

Again I would just go off what your specific tire states. They'll all be a little different. That is the only surefire, 100% way to be absolutely certain. Anything else and you're gambling a little. Not necessarily a bad thing, but know what you're getting into.
