Wierd fog ring around the moon!?

    So im out in the driveway working on my truck and just noticed this wierd ass fog ring around the moon. Have any of you guys ever seen something like this before? I havnt so I thought it was cool!

    Yep, it is sweet though. More common when you have really cold temps around here. You get tiny ice crystals in the atmosphere and they act like prisms.

    I've seen the same kind of ring around the sun too.

    That means winter! At least that's always what I've been told... We usually get it once or twice a year right before a cold front and some snow moves in.

    Yep, I saw that last night. It happens when some sort of precip is on the way..and wouldn't you know it, we had thunderstorms this morning.

    Yeah I've seen it a couple times and the first time I was pretty stoked about it!! Dont mind it much anymore but still think its cool as hell!!
