I recently bought a '18 trd off road and last weekend I finally had the chance to take it out and use it for what it was made for. At the beginning of the trail, I barely high centered the truck. It was not a hard hit at all, more like an under carriage brush. A little father down the trail when things started to got a little more intense, I started to notice that while going slow and when the weight of the truck was shifting from side to side there was a creaking noise coming from under neath the drivers feet. The truck performed perfectly the rest of the trip, but continued to make the noise while going slow and shifting weight. At high speeds off road and on the highway, there is no noise and I cannot notice any difference.

Once I cleaned the truck, I looked underneath and the only mark I could find was on the small factory skid plate on the transfer case. I did not notice any of the bolts/ mounts that I could find had any damage.

I took it to the dealer today and explained what I was hearing. They checked everything and could not find anything wrong with the truck.

My question is, is anyone else hearing this noise? Is there something that the dealership might have missed?

    Thanks for the help!!!

Welcome to TW and sorry to hear about the noise. Might be the suspension, I’d drive it until it breaks.

    Here’s another video.

Just something to lighten the mood.

Remember, 4WD trucks make a lot of noise which often times are normal moving parts.

I understand that. And do I like the video( no hard feelings at all. Honestly, I use the quote all the time.) My buddy that was with me in the video is a long time Jeep and 4Runner driver and between the two of us, we could not figure it out. I definitely agree with you, drive it till it brakes!!!!! It's just frustrating that the first trail I take it on, it starts making shitty noises.

Side Note, I was a 2015 WRX owner before this. This is the first 4x4 that I have owned, so I know I'm beening a noob with this question.
