I have a 2022 SR5 two wheel drive Tacoma. Often times when I put my foot on the brake pedal, there is a wierd metallic "tink" that I hear when I take my foot off of it. Is this something that others have experienced, or am I just lucky? I just bought the truck last month.

Have you gotten down at the brake pedal level and pushed it with your hand? Maybe you can better determine where the sound is coming from / what is causing it. I don't recall ever hearing this complaint here before. But who knows maybe someone will chime in that had the same noise and what was the source.

But as always, what the hell do I know?

If coming from the pedal, look at the spring that is just above the pedal pad. There is a small spring retainer that gets dislodged and causes a similar sound.

Could be the brake pin working out of the pedal, check it like Buck said before this happens

Inside the truck or outside? I have the somewhat common click sound from my break pads. From what iv read here and other forums, it is from the pads having a small gap between them and the calipers.
