i dont think so. it still runs and feels the same as the day i bought it used in 2008 with 30,000 miles on it.

i am about to crest 200,000 miles and it still starts and does it's thing. i kayak fish a lot, so the miles are racking up rather quickly these days. aethetically, it is okay. but nothing problematic. i have downgraded my carwashes from lovingly washing it under shadetree, to driving it thru a touchless wash. hahah..time is limited and those bass are not gonna catch themselves!!

i relinquished my turn in line, and my wife will retire her 2005 Subaru Turbo Forester and she just got on the wait-list for a Tesla. the electrician is scheduled to do the charger work in the garage.

not sure we can buy two vehicles anyways. not if we are trying to avoid car payments. bleech.

i am so happy my 2006 is so dependable. i love the thing dearly. 2006 4x4 TRD off road. access cab.

I have zero desire to get rid of my 2010, which is nearing 200,000 miles. I love it more now than the day I bought it new!

    None... yet.
    That's a keeper for sure!

I loved my FXT and, while I do love how versatile my truck is, I wish I could've kept my Turbo Toaster! It was the only vehicle I actually had dreams about... usually getting into some weird predicament and being terrified of having to explain to the wife what happened...

Sounds like you want to kerp it. If that's the case, don't get rid of it for anyone.

The other day, my 2006 asked me if I wanted to get rid of my wife.
    I was stunned.

Nice to come across another kayak fisherman. Do you have any pictures of your truck with the kayak on? What kind of kayak do you use?
I'm constantly traveling for my diving and fishing and racking up more miles than any other vehicle I've owned. It goes off-road often enough, even on some fairly rough trails, with the kayak racked up. The Tacoma has definitely been reliable and a workhorse for my activities.

Sorry to hear, I love my 07 to death. After my wife rode in it for the first time she asked if she could get one of the new 4Runners because it was like my truck but more "mom-like"..... This was right after we got her a new outlander with 20ish thousand miles on it....

Basics. Tires, painted headlighes, UHLM, baby winch in the bed, and heated mirrors :)
I'd honestly love to have a Tesla, but it'll be a loooong time before I consider buying one. Especially considering the lack of sufficient charging stations near me. I often drive 200mi one-way through BFE and don't really have time to sit at a Walmart for a couple hours upon reaching my destination.

If I lived closer to civilization i'd definitely consider trying one out.

My 2008 has just under 240K miles. No leaks, no vibrations, no MX needs, tracks straight down the road, like a new one. I’d drive her across the country.

I recently thought about buying another truck, but decided to clean my taco up instead. Restored the headlights, polished the bugs off the front end, detailed her out, ordered a stitch on steering wheel cover, etc. Total makeover. Now she looks as good as she drives and I’m so glad I did it. It totally squashed any urge I had to sell her...

Now I can get back to thinking about getting that old Corvette I always wanted....

Mostly 340,000 miles of wear on the '96. A sharp looking Gasshole for the '21
It's a cult, walk back to the light. An affordable EV might be OK for some one with an office job, 5 miles from the house with free employer provided charging. That vehicle should be priced less than a Corolla.

You all read okay? My wife isn’t asking me to unload my truck. She asked if I wanted anything else. My call.
I’m buying a car soon. A economy appliance. I’ll keep my truck. It’s the best.

    here is my kayak setup.

Had my 2010 since Oct 2012 at 6600 miles. Only 117K now, at the dealer for the frame. I plan to keep it to 200K minimum..single cab 2WD but my needs aren't changing, and why have a payment when I don't have to?

Nothing wrong with Tesla if it does what you need. My nephew has one and loves it..bonus is charging station at his job. Free fuel.

I see your point. A good one.

but. She asked if I wanted. Not said to get rid of…. She asked yesterday if I wanted a new 3rd gen. Again. She asked. I declined. I don’t need a new truck yet. I’m good with mine.
