With the resale value of Tacoma, your not going to lose much by hanging on to the '09 for a while. 2nd gen Tacos are gone off of car lots around here as soon as they detail them. Tough to beat the bulletproof 4.0 engine in my humble opinion. It takes a licking and keeps on "ticking".

100,000 miles is barely broken in. What would be the the point of a new truck anyway?

I’ll think about a new truck when I hit 250,000. Sooo, probably 8-10 years. It will be almost 20 years old at that point.

I am retired and my wifes salary is more than my pension so payments would be made partially with her money. So its only proper to include her in major purchase decisions.

When you put it that way I agree. I’m afraid I misunderstood what you were saying, sorry

I Agree with this. I plan on driving my 2013 until it falls apart. Then I will probably get a 4x4 4Runner.

Parted with my 102k 08’ after 10 plus years of trouble free ownership for one reason only......it went to my son who was in need of a new vehicle. Best pickup I’ve ever had, I’d still be driving it but we were able to keep it in the family and we’re happy about that.
Throw shade if you must but I’m very happy with the 17 dcsb sport I bought.

I really like my 2010 but gave it to my son for a 4runner Pro. Dont get a 3rd gen that would be a mistake!

Well, yes and no. We don't ask or seek permission to buy a vehicle, but usually discuss it some before hand, but not always. Going on 27 years married, so it works for us, but we also respect our bank account and don't do anything to put us into financial risk. I do want to buy a plane in the next few years and that will certainly require her permission and OK or it just won't happen.
