Do you, good sir! There's nothing wrong with asking your significant other for their input on financial decisions that may have an effect on both of you. Happy Wife=Happy Life.

My '15 has been paid for for a long time. She's 5 years old with 70k. Got nothing to do with liking or not liking the 3rd gen. Why would I trade or sell it? My money looks better sitting in the bank not in the drive way.

And 29 years of marriage and we always talk to each other about money. Hell neither one of us will spend more than a couple of hundred dollars without running it by each other. That's trust and communication....not being pussy whipped or my nuts in her purse. Happy woman like to fuck a lot. 'Nuff said

In the same spot with my trusty 2006. I keep coming back the bottom line - spending 40k for cosmetic changes. Changes I'm not all that hot about. I really hope the 4th gen offers something more substantial. And I hope this 2021 "Special Trail Edition" means the 3rd gen experiment is over and we will get a real update in 2022.

That's right guys, your happiness doesn't matter. You're just a drone meant to work and die and in between you better be jumping whenever she says so.:puke:

You can joke, but I seriously cannot respect any man who lets himself be bossed around or says he has to "ask permission." I get the OP's situation and understand that, but this whole "if she ain't happy, nobody's happy" thing is just emotional abuse. It's lame and emasculating.

I certainly don't get "bossed around". But the idea that, as a man, I'm somehow giving up my masculinity because I choose to communicate with my wife about money (and she does the same for me) is ridiculous. I'm very secure with myself...as a husband, a father and a man.

We men have such large, fragile egos. We have to learn to keep that in check. An attentive respectful woman knows how to handle that. Obviously some men haven't found that.

I'm not talking about communicating here. I'm talking about the guys who say things like "my wife won't let do X, Y or Z" or refer to their wives as "SWMBO" and the whole "happy wife/happy life" BS. A lot of men have internalized this subservient, second class status and it's freaking embarrassing.
