The wife says her fob "fell off" her key chain. She still has the metal key but no fob to our 2016 Off Road.

I could use some help finding the cheapest replacement?

Any chance I could just buy the circuit board and put it in a MESO Key Fob Case?

That’s a bummer man. Don’t think there’s really a “cheapest replacement”. Pretty much always costs an arm and a leg to replace a wife. Good luck.

Sorry I can’t offer anything more constructive, but that was way too good of a setup to resist. Best of luck man

In your wife's defense, my sister did the same thing with her Corolla FOB which is identical. Either it's a woman thing or bad design

Pretty harsh to be looking to replace your wife, with some cheap floosey, over a lost key!

If you still have the spare, you can just take it to the dealership and have them delete the lost key. And just live with one fob.

it could be worse my wife has a tendency to hit the side of the garage door opening when backing out and run into the stairs when pulling in.

Depending on what you’ve got going on it’s pretty cheap. Mine just cost the $200 court filing fee and letting her keep all her shit I didn’t want anyway.

I was dirt bike riding in 1986 and saw something shiny and metallic in the mud. It was a brass oval keychain with Scott written on it and a GM key.
I took the key off and left it on a fence at the trailhead, I took the keychain. It has been in my pocket since. I have flown over 3 million miles for work during that time period and driven over 750,000 miles.

I'm bragging, I'll lose it next week.

The only time Ive ever lost my keys was when I left them on my roof (car keys are always separate from rest of keys) They flew off at some point while driving, found them 8 months later in the spring after the snow melted on the side of a on ramp... I saw the brass from part of the key chain and knew those had to be mine.

Check Craigslist, I’ve seen low cost Toyota fobs, just have to find a locksmith that can program it vs the dealership.

Have you had her peripheral vision checked? When my late wife started doing that, it was because a brain tumor had taken some of her vision.

Buy her a smaller car. If you put them in a car/truck that's too big they will use it to play bumper cars.
