Sometimes, there comes a time where there is no other option but to trade it in for a newer model.
As for the truck, yeah not sure what to tell you on that though.

I’ve got a PDR tech coming to do my fender next week where I put a knee print into my fender doing my spark plugs (rage!)

Everything I’ve read says as long as the creases aren’t sharp and the paint is undisturbed it should come out. It appears that even a PDR 95% repair may not be noticeable to the untrained eye.

I would go to a body shop and ask what they would do. I had an issue with my truck where we were helping clear out my mom's house the other fall and when loading a tall boy dresser in the bed my nefew some how dropped it against the back of the cab to the left of the 3rd brake light. It caused a small dent and the sheet metal starts to curve up the the roof there. Body shop didn't even want to get envoled, they told me it was a great candidate for paintless dent repair and gave me the guys card that they hire from outside. He came to my work the next week and fixed it in the parking lot for $150. You would never know it was there. I in fact forget about it until now.

So I just met with PDR and my paint guy. We all think it’s best to get upholstery shop to take down headliner. Then we’ll do the PDR (which he said isn’t a biggie and he can pretty much get it all fixed). Then antenna replacement. Than dynamat bc why not? Then minor paint correction.

I’m implementing this plan and not looking back. Thanks!

Great news on the fix…those PDR guys are magicians and relatively cheap for what they do.

As for the seal on the shark fin… the only real answer is…..

As I have stated in these similar threads before this is your fault for letting your Wife drive your truck. NEVER let your Wife drive your Truck. Lucky for you it looks like an easy fix.

I would never let her drive it. The truth is she closed the garage door on me by accident as I was backing out.

My wife drives my Tacoma everyday. I've screwed up way more things than she has. Or at least I haven't noticed the damage. The worst thing she does often is leave banana peels and apple cores in the console.

Ya see ... all you have to do is put the incident in the right perspective.

Now about driving the truck ... you trust her to take care of your children, correct?

haha - I’ve actually never told her she can’t drive and in fact I’ve asked her to try it out but she refuses bc she knows I’m a OCD fucker and she doesn’t think it’s worth the risk

Had a car come in for service like that. I installed a new antenna but the roof was still dented. Dent repair had to apply heat to get the dent out (the metal was stretched).

PDR is really good. They can do some amazing things. So probably can get it to sit flush.
