They also provide more clearance for rocks.

There's nothing wrong with drum brakes in the rear, especially of a pickup that has no weight back there.

I can't say I've ever been in a situation offroad where I thought to myself "Man I wish I had higher clearance brakes"

Good news is that if they are finished in black (thermodynamic heat sink = Tx4) and you park in the sun during the day they will keep you warm at night!

An empty pickup has no weight back there. A loaded or towing pickup will be a different story.

This is why I like being single , it's my money and I can spend it how I want !!!!!

I've spent close to $18k just under 6 months on my Camaro and that's just on a engine and transmission only . I can just imagine the discussion if I was married !!!!!

OP came to TW for real world advice. TW said "slap that B, then go buy sliders".

One of my buddies has probably over $20K into a GMC Sonoma. His wife has been good about it.

Being a GM guy, you'll probably appreciate this..

Being single isn't the only way to be able to do what you want. Marrying the right woman is another option.

    Dr Phil owns a Tacoma?

I knew that I’ve been screwing up these past 19 years of marriage.

22 years here with a joint account and we each have our own account. I bet if we shared one account for everything we would not have made it this far.

Agreed. We do option 3 and it keeps everyone happy. We both have our own careers and contribute to shared expenses equally. If either of us is thinking about making a big purchase, like truck mods on my part, I talk about it with her but it's not asking 'permission' its me getting my wife's perspective on it and taking her opinion into account. She does the same. Neither of us are crazy impulsive spenders. Works great for us.

Dick her down and then buy the sliders. If you’re incapable of that find another member to do the job for you. Solution solved.

I’m divorced twice so any information I give you should be really considered nothing more than rambling.

Just go have fun with the way your truck is. Who cares if it gets messed up. Just keep wheeling it and enjoy your life as much as your wife will let you.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Lmfao... that doesn't work in my house.

My wifes truck is taller than mine, my wife is shorter than me.

    20180309_154402.jpg

But I do have sliders now... because I need them... so I bought them.

Exactly. We have multiple as well.

We have a certain amount of spending money per month. Spend it, save it, whatever. My lady likes going out to lunch with friends. That’s how she spends her money. Totally worth it. She comes back happy, talks about the good time she had, and I don’t give a crap if lunch cost 150.00.

This year I wanted two new guns. Guess who didn’t ask to buy yet another Glock and an AR10? This guy.
