Hyundai began life building ships, then construction equipment, then heavy trucks.....eventually added cars.

While I was working out of country, my wife wanted a new ride. She asked my opinion. I offered Rav4, CR-V, Traverse. She bought the car. I found out after returning to USA what and how she decided. She asked her brother. Brother said, "CR-V". It was the only car she considered.
    She is happy with it.

Personally, I don't care for all the gadgets. I'm not a fan of all the Tupperware on the body. To me, driving the car is like driving a little go-cart.

    So, I'm happy, too. o_O

Let her get what she wants. If it turns out to be a bad decision keep your mouth shut but give her that "should have listened to me " face every time she c0omplains about it. Good or bad you come out on top.

I’m a huge fan. I’m keeping my eye on it. I may trade my supercharged Tacoma for the 2.5L Turbo DCT one. Much sportier ute with only a 1500lb reduction in tow rating and similar power/torque to weight compared to my supercharged 3.5. Sign me up if they end up being reliable.

Tell her no. But if you’re smart you’d say, you should do what you want to do.

Yep that is the engine. It's not in the cars they sell now. I think they moved on for good reason. I just would be careful buying one of those cars used

I'm not sure he should trade in his wife for a younger model just because she asked for a Hyundai. ...and I'm offended that you'd refer to divorced women as "used market"!

I like the way you think. Nothing says love like a Santa Cruz MB

All jokes aside OP, if the vehicle gets good reviews and she likes it…have at it. Does she tell you what truck to buy? Probably not.

It’ll probably be less problematic than the taco. And Hyundai as a company are far better to deal with Toyota. Better warranty, better tech, drives better. Never thought I’d say that. But isn’t actually a truck is Kona with a bed

Huyndai’s are known for engine problems and lots of recalls. I would tell her no. Wait to see how the vehicle problems go.

She won't care about that. Most women will key on the color, cuteness and electronic helpers.
