My wife's grandmother, Lula, has had a spell of bad health lately. Awhile back she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She went on chemotherapy and everything responded well and seemed to clear up. She even recovered nicely from the chemo, which can be hard on the body.

She went to an oncology follow up recently and found out that the cancer is back and has spread to her lungs. I believe it also seems more aggressive this time. She doesn't use her walker now, having regained strength lost during the last chemo treatments, but they believe she won't be able to bounce back this time. The chemo will be too hard on her, and probably won't help much. Surgery isn't even an option at this point. Seems that she has decided just to ride it out, and I think she is at peace with that.

Please keep Lula and her six kids, fifteen grand kids and who knows how many great-grand kids in your prayers. Please send an extra prayer for my wife, it's pretty tough on her since we live in New Mexico and all of our families live back in North Carolina.

    Thanks.

You got it Blair. Hope your wife and family can find some piece. Prayers to your wife's grandma.

So they had a family meeting with the oncologist yesterday. He pretty much said there is nothing he can do. Her heart is not strong enough for chemo or surgery. It's what we expected to hear. Please keep her in your prayers, she's scared it will hurt. Also, keep praying that her family will keep their strength during this time.

    So sorry to hear that.

If you haven't yet, get in touch with hospice. They will ensure she stays comfortable
