I got to play Super Mario Wii at a friend's house for a bit the other week, and I'm in love. Super Mario 3 stylin', HELL YEAH! Better (or on par) graphics compared to Super Mario World, OMG!

So now I'm all pumped to buy my own Wii... but I wanted to step back and think this through. I bought the original Xbox back in the day, and that was a stupid move - few games, and most sucked. I don't want to buy the Wii for one game and realize that I'm saddled with 'the shitty choice' like before.

-I have a PC for FPS games
-I have a blue ray player that does everything I want it to
-my brother and some of my friends have a 360, but I don't think I'd get a live account
    -I don't know many people with a PS3

I talked to a friend of mine and he said that most titles these days are made for all the systems, so it's not as big of a deal... but I need more opinions!

I recently played my a Wii at my sisters house that she got for her kids and I got addicted. The Wii sports that comes with the console got me hooked. It's a lot more active and gets you moving some so I vote Wii. Much more fun with a group of people than any of the others.

Truthfully I am not sold on the wii yet. Don't like the way the controllers work with that light bar deal. It is a great easy game to play for the kids, but if you want a real gaming system with kick ass games and graphics, it is hard to beat the ps3.

I don't really care about the game that comes packaged - I'm thinking about what other titles are out there. Like I said, the original xbox blew because all you could get were obscure sports titles, and I don't want it to be like that again where I'm stuck to a single-genre console. I've got some flexibility since I have the BD player and a PC for FPS, but there's still RPG, arcade-ish stuff, etc.

I'm fine with all the controls too... once you get the Wii's bar set up it works ok

I just got a Wii for Christmas and I love it. There's games on each system that I want it for. Ace Combat for 360, Gran Turismo/Metal Gear for PS3, and the Mario games and Dead Space:Extraction for Wii.

Sounds to me like you want a Wii. Price is hard to beat compared to the rest.

LOL you gotta quit going at it like you're trying to kill snakes. It's really actually more of a lazy system in that it only takes some really small gestures to do most anything but bowl.

Hmm, that is a good point. X360 is looking like a chump again.

had Wii and was fun for a little while but the games were limited. It ended up collecting dust. Even my kids eventually stopped playing it. Ended up selling it and buying a 360. my .02

It just really depends on what you want. If you want a cutesy little system with terrible graphics and no processing speed that is fun while playing a few games with a group of people: wii. If you want a real gaming system with an incredible online network and smooth operating system go Xbox. If you want a system that has incredible processing power and amazing graphics that doubles as a(n) (extremely fast) computer go with the PS3. You really get what you pay for. If your gonna be puttin some serious hours into your console then the order goes PS3, Xbox, then Wii. Not discrediting any of the three though, they are all very entertaining

The 360 has some good games but you would probably want live. PS3 is like a $300 blue-ray player, online is free but I heard it sucks. Wii is a good system, but I feel it more geared toward kids... MO

The wii isn't bad for the price ,games are cheap, and it's reliable. Graphics are on par with older systems like PS2. For serious gaming, I would go with a PS3.

I have both an xbox 360 and the wii. I love the wii............. when friends are over, other than that I don't play it cause I'm not in love with the controls. My xbox I play all the good games that are out on (halo, cod, gears of war, etc), plus the xbox live is awesome. My brother has a ps3 and its pretty much an xbox 360 with a free blu ray player

Sounds like you have some good reasons to get a Wii.

I am 30yrs old and was the first of my friends and family to get a wii. Since then, nearly every one of them has bought one - like 10 people. Online play is great with Mario Kart and Tiger Woods 2010. Now we all have Kart and get some great battles going on. Even my 2 yr old sits down next to us with a wheel in her hands.

If you ever entertain...you will get your money's worth. It's much better than sitting around playing Taboo or Outburst.

I have played wii nearly every day since I got it in July 2009. I have 7 games - Kart, Madden 08, Call of Duty, Super Mario Bro's, wii Fit, Tiger Woods 10, Sports Resort.

I put 36 hours of online play on Call of Duty. Its awesome.

Madden SUCKS - don't get it. I was a huge Madden fan for PS2 but hate it on the wii.

Tiger is awesome. Close the blinds though...my neighbors thought I was nuts.

Kart is AWESOME - nuph said! Get it and get friends to get it. Play online. Its a sit and play game - no standing.

Wii Sports Resort - improved version of the original. Great for parties.

Wii Fit - waste of money. It's fun for a few days but gets REAL old. Not even good for working out.

Super Mario Bro's - Similar to the original for NES. It is fun but very difficult to play with multiple people. Don't be sucked in my that feature - you will end up playing alone. Great game though.

For a second system, I am getting a PS3. Free online play and I want the Blue Ray player. I would have my wii first though.

I have a 360 but mine has had the red ring of death 2 times. I would go with a PS3 but I didn't want to have to buy all new games. We have a Wii, it dosn't get used besides Wii FiT or when company is over. I say get a PS3 their so sweet!

I have a PS3 and I have been wanting a Wii ever since they came out. Go with the Wii. I still love my PS3 and will not be getting rid of it but the Wii is just fun. I got to play the Wii fitness game and it is awesome. It is an easy and fun way to get a little bit of exercise. All the systems are great but IMO go with the Wii.

What the hell is the "Red Ring of Death"?

I googled it and it looks like its a hardware issue and basically bricks your system - makes it unusable.

If I spend $400 on a game system, that better not be a possibility. You just eliminated any possibility of me EVER getting a 360. That sucks!
