i got a got for my wife for xmas. we have played it maybe 5 times since. It can be fun but not something that I would be playing all the time. I like my Xbox better. Wii is more of a "social" game for when you have people over.

I vote Wii if you are looking for a console that will have fun games that aren't too in depth. If you're looking for big games like Final Fantasy, then Wii isn't the right choice.

Since you already play PC games, PC > XBox/PS3. If you got an XBox/PS3, it would just be like buying a console that could play the same games your PC can with crappier controls (I hate FPS on consoles.)

Get the PS3. My husband uses it a lot for gaming. We probably use it more often as a blu-ray player. He plays online all the time and has several friends that he plays with (online) in private games. Love the online play. You can also get online to browse the internt - although the last time we played with that, it sucked (good if you don't have a computer). You can download games from playstation store - some free, others a few bucks. You can download demos for free. You can download TV & movies (haven't done this myself). USB ports, wireless controllers, hook your ipod to it, store pictures in it....

    I vote for 360.

Xbox proprietary games are better then PS3's. Most of the great games for both both consoles. The 360 controller is MUCH more comfortable.

Well considering the fact that I'm now on my 3rd x-box because of the RROD, x-box kinda pisses me off, but I can't be too mad because they have fixed them all for FREE so far. If my friends all didnt have x-box i might switch to PS3. But I love the controller of the x-box over the PS3.

Serious gaming Ps3 or 360....Wii is cool but gets boring after a while. I had a 360 but had to deal with 2 consoles with the "red ring of death". Did that issue ever get fixed? I voted PS3.

It's from a couple years ago when the only reason to buy a PS3 was for the Blueray player. The system and games were way pricier, and the internet capabilities weren't built up or used yet.

Yeah the graphics may be great, but if I had a television were it made a difference, I'd probably be sitting far enough away where I wouldn't notice the difference anyway.

I'm happy with my Wii of 3+ years. Still wouldn't buy a PS3 unless I wanted a Blueray player.

the red ring does not usually happen to the newer systems as much as it did with the first Xbox 360s. I have had mine for a year without any problems. The Xbox 360 is between $200 and $300 depending on what one you get.

    Haha, yep, that's a classic.

PC > console. Some people don't have the money/know how to build/buy a gaming PC though. PS3/Xbox are a cheaper alternative. Wii offers something the PC doesn't with the wiimote.
