Any interest in a Group Buy for the Wilco Hitchgate tire carrier? This is for the hitch mounted version. Either on center or off center. Can attach a HiLift jack to it, Jerry Cans. Off Center will still make it so you're camera is still usable. Swings out for full access to the tailgate and bed. They fit any 2 inch receiver. I am in the process of working something out with Wilco as we speak.

This is just a feeler for them to monitor. So concerns or questions. Post em up please. The other Tiregates can also be included in this as well. Just trying to gauge interest

Yup, almost any 2 inch receiver...except the Land Rover Discovery and Dodge Sprinter. The Disco has the hitch tucked way too far under and the Sprinter hitch is sooooo close to the door there's not enough clearance...need at least 7.25" of clearance between top of receiver and bottom of tailgate/door.

Wilco does offer a 6" extended truck mount if someone wants even more clearance between vehicle and Hitchgate....not for everyone, but right for someone. =)

PS Here is why there is ZERO wobble/movement in the Hitchgate. When the wedge lock is installed properly, it becomes part of the vehicle. Wilco recommends checking it every 3,000 miles (but no one does).

I like your product but is says on your website that it will "Carry up to a 40-inch tire on full size trucks, or 35-inch tire on smaller vehicles" does that mean that it can't hold smaller tires.

I'd be interested, seems like a great way to carry a second spare tire and extra fuel for when I'm out wheeling but then I can take it off when I'm done.

Yeah, the wording is a little confusing, people ask about that often. It will hold almost ANY tire in existence. 40" is more of a weight limit than a size. 35" often is the largest a Taco can go without hitting something...but smaller is always fine. (note the old Tiregate badge on that Hitchgate)

Probably not awesome for extreme crawling and wheeling and general King of the Hammers stuff because the truck mount portion sticks out about 4-6" further than the hitch does. It doesn't lose any ground clearance...departure angles are not improved though. Moderate wheeling and exploring is more than fine...and we've seen it get smacked around a lot.
