Hey guys, awesome to hear about the excitement. I thought I'd give you all an update at where we stand.

As snow began to melt, people around the world began getting VERY excited about their upcoming adventures and began ordering Hitchgates and Tiregates like never before. We've had a 6 week back order of almost 50 Hitchgates at one point.

Our weld department is working their buts off to get caught up.

So, when we do make an offer to you guys it will not be like Amazon Prime unfortunately.

If you placed on order on the phone right now, you'd be 31 in line for one and would be approx 15-20 business days out...and we know how that feels.

As I said though, we are working hard to catch up as fast as we can without sacrificing quality. Stay tuned for an offer and a shrinking lead time!

Been eyeballing the VT tiregate. both hitch and tiregate seem pretty awesome.

    Main things to consider are:
VT can't accommodate a hi-lift on the mid-size, the Hitchgate can with the right accessory.
    Hitchgate is easily removable.
VT is the most tailgate like in looks but IMO allows easier access to bed.

With all that said, I have a Tiregate Prerunner on my personal rig...because I can still put two motorcycles in with the gate closed, the wheels tuck in nicely next to my 35" spare...my bed is 6.5" though.

Interested. Price is a concern, because MSRp on these things gets me most of the way to a full rear steel bumper.

Would this be for just the hitchgate or open to the tiregate also? I might be in for a vertical tiregate if it's an option.

Edit: just saw your other post including the tiregate.

To mount a hi-lift (alone) on a Hitchgate, horizontally, is a $20.00 add on.
    HG Ford Excursion Offset open.jpg

Hi-Lift too wide for width of Tacoma on a Tiregate VT. It's misleading on the website. Hi-Lift only works on fullsize trucks with the VT.

Well there are all different sizes of hi-lifts. A shortie wont fit on the tire gate?

@Unchained 5150 Definitely interested in the tire gate 1st gen taco! Price dependent?
