I know this will get moved, but I want to share it with my 2nd gen brothers and sisters before it does.
I am from the south and have seen some of the damage that these wild hogs can do, but I have never in my life seen some as big as are in this video and as many together.
This video is pretty cool too! For you TX folks, if you need some help with these big bastards just give me a shout! LOCKED AND LOADED!!

My buddy killed a hog that weighed just over 600 lbs. They had to move it with a tractor.

Although I agree the hogs are out of control and need to be thinned by a major amount, this so called hunt was total BULLSHIT, not even half way through the vid I counted dozens of animals flopping because they were only wounded and they just kept flying after others.
I grew up as a hunter and would never allow an animal to lay flopping around suffering.

you can take out a huge amount of hogs with corral traps. then put them into a truck, dump them onto a ranch for "real" hunting fun. i know a man in texas with a HUGE hog problem. he does exactly this. he runs them with a huge cattle truck and dumps them onto his other property. a huge 10,000 acre fenced ranch. he then charges for hunting. win/win. i would love to shoot a hog out of a chopper, but i would also like to find that pig, butcher it and eat it. i would use a .308 socom 16!!

even as pest..hogs are delicious and should be eaten.

    oil change...

when you shoot a hog, 8 times out of 10 he is gonna flop around...they are big heavy fat armored beasts and are hard to kill without great shot placement...

I have shot several hogs on my lease and we drag them off to rott...200-350 lb hogs are no good to eat and cause more harm than good. untill you personally have had an overpopulation of wild hogs you have no room to judge

depending on the size. once they get too big they taste terrible and are pretty much just worthless fatty meat.

80-150lb hogs are the best for eating

after that you just kill 'em and take a pic to show who shot the biggest pig. maybe keep their tusks:cool:

tastey little guy. keason..if you ever need help dispatching them..i know a SWAT them that hunts and cant take a huge chunk out of the population..with autos..

haha thats a cute little fellow :infantry:

that would be so sick to blast them with full auto's! The place we have now isnt as bad as the place before. before we had a few different herds of atleast 20 per herd. it was just silly.

We would bait them out with strawberry coolaid and deer corn. while they are munching on that stuff we would try and shoot at the same time taking down two and then its a free for all. Me and my dad were just in jeans and t shirts sitting on the ground behind some trees. I was 14 at the time, and to this day it was the scariest, craziest thing ive ever seen.

what a waste... in many many different ways

First, thats a lot of good hunting down the drain

Second, all that damn meat wasted

Eventhough they may be a pest I hate to see their lives go to waste... BBQ is SOOOOOOO good!

I mean shit, if you're gonna kill em you should eat/sell the carcass too

I like the idea of live catching them and profiting from the spoils instead of dozens of rotting carcass scattered across a farm wasting away.
