Bought new wheels and they are hitting the caliper so I bought some 1/4 inch spacers. Will this help clear the calipers and will it leave enough threads on the lugs?

Depends on how much their hitting.

Lugs on the front arent long enough with that spacer.

x2. Not only that but keep in mind certain tire shops won't service your truck with those spacers. Discount tire is one.

I am running a 1/4" spacer to clear my calipers. It sucks that discount wont service it, a bit of a headache some times. If you do run the spacer, you need to replace the studs. I used studs from an 04 toyota matrix. They give more than enough extra lug

You probably need longer studs... I run Cragar soft 8's i just took a grinder and ground the dimple on the back of each wheel till it fit. Then i painted them, i did not like the wheel spacers and i didnt want to wait for new studs to come in.

Put on your spacer & wheel & snug the existing studs/ nuts up a little & roll the wheel around & watch. Then get some 1/4 '' longer studs, very common size, hammer 1 out & go to Oreileys or some store & get the matching but longer studs.

If you go this route ask for 04 toyota matrix rear studs. They work perfect.

Thanks guys, the 1/4 spacer ended up clearing fine. I put on at my house to try first and the tire store thought I had plenty lug left. We don't have a discount tire or any large tire stores where I'm from. I use a small family owned tire store. Got the tires and wheels put on today and it made a huge difference!

Id still be very wary, I find it hard to believe that you got over 6 full turns on the lug

I'll definitely check them after 100 miles or so. But I actually got 7 1/2 hand turns before the impact wrench

Your truck must already have longer lugs. Factory theres only 3/4" or so of thread to work with before even putting wheel on.

His rims could have come with E/T Lug nuts

It may have already had longer threads because it had 16 inch Toyota Stocks and the truck came with 15's. But my wheels did come with E/T Lugs.

The E/T lugs is why you are getting so many threads
